Armenia is my small land of big smiles and friendly faces. I’ve been living here already 17 years and it’s become an undeniable part of me, probably one of the best parts. When I say “Armenia”, firstly I remember our greatest troubadour-composer- Komitas. His songs represent our country, its nature, the people living here, their customs, traditions, even the way they fall in love. For me, his most inspiring and touching songs are “Chinar es” and “Hov areq”. The II thing, which comes to mind, is our churches.
The weird atmosphere inside them makes you believe in existence of something supernatural there. Some people call it God.
There are many places in Armenia worth visiting. But my favorite one is Dilijan. It’s a small town, where it often rains. It’s surrounded by mountains and canyons. It feels like you can stretch your hand and stroke the soft green space which is so inapproachable.
I believe that everyone, who comes to Armenia, should visit the pagan temple Garni. The ruins of once great castle are amazing. Each stone has its history and can tell you something about his past.
The past… Yes, Armenia has an impressive history. So, I’ll do my best to build a future worthy to the past.
